Water is life, without water, the whole life on the planet will wipe off, and with too much water, and we all lose our live. It is said that God created all things perfectly.

The water level on earth is just as perfect as it ought to be. Just 10% increase in water, the planet will go underwater, and just 10% decrease, the whole land becomes a desert.

The human body contains 2/3 water, the brain alone is 95% water; the circulatory system is 82% while the lungs has 90% water. Few days without water and we die painfully, just 2% drop in body water level, we dehydrate, suffer memory loss, fatigue with lack of muscle control.

Here are the 7 major reasons why you should drink water

Water aids digestion and lubrication

Water is the body lubricant, helps with digestion and other body functions, saliva production is very important in chewing, swallowing and digestion process. Our cartilages, joints need to be lubricated for proper functioning.

Water regulates body temperature

Water makes up 92% of body plasma, which is responsible for maintenance of pH, movement of antibodies, and regulation of osmolality that controls body temperature, preventing the body from experiencing freezing or heating.

Water is responsible for wasting trash out of the body

Dangerous toxins goes out of the body through urination and sweat, constipation is prevented and relieved by water, facilitating bowel movements that flushes out toxins in the gastrointestinal tract (GIT).

Waste sits on the bowels during constipation, diffuses into the bloodstream via the GIT, creating a toxic environment in the body and can lead to fatigue, skin rashes, then cancer.

Water is the body transporter

Majority of the blood is water, important nutrients and oxygen is circulated throughout the body via the bloodstream.

Food substances are broken down to water soluble components and delivered through the capillaries in the intestine then to the blood that carries oxygen and nutrients and drop them off to areas where they are needed to maintain body function.

Water controls blood sugar level and prevents storage of fat

Glucose tends to concentrate in the body when water is inadequate, those glucose we got from food deposits in the bloodstream forming high blood sugar levels which in turns be stored as fat when they reach the liver. Lack of water within the fat cells will result in inability to break fat for energy production.

Water controls the functionality of the heart and blood vessels

Capillaries close when water is insufficient in the bloodstream, thickening the blood, which in turn leads to susceptible clotting, and circulation to the vascular system is impaired.

Hypertension, elevation of blood cholesterol and triglycerides may result leading to ultimate heart disease.

Water controls diet

As it helps to metabolize fat to generate energy, it also helps as appetite suppressor which prevents you from consuming excessive food.

If you drink 16-24oz of water about 20-30 minutes before eating, your food intake can be reduced by half. Water is essential for proper body functioning and it is a health therapy on its own.

There are 3 ways we get water into our body, through drinking, product of metabolism and through food intake. None of these steps could be put away and substituted, but it is advice that you drink water adequately to maintain good health.
