The wedding day is one of the most important days in a woman’s life. You want that day to go perfectly. If the big day is coming up, you certainly have everything lined up, the venue, the band, the wedding rings, and of course, your wedding dress. However, you probably chose that dress months ago. You need to ensure that it fits you every bit as perfectly as the day when you chose it. Here are some useful tips on how to stay fit in the anticipation of your day.
With so many things to keep in mind and so many decisions to make, it is no wonder brides-to-be are stressed. From things as simple as not damaging your engagement ring to the flowers and seating arrangements, you may have to make as many as 200 decisions.
Some people combat that stress by eating. By all means, avoid this bad habit. Typically, people who stress-eat choose highly caloric foods, such as ice-cream and various snacks. The short-term satisfaction is not worth the damage these foods can do to your body.
One way you can prevent yourself from stress-eating is to keep a food journal or a food diary. Essentially, here you write down everything you eat. When you look back on a day of stress-eating, you may be shocked at the amount of food you ate on top of your normal food intake. Even if the amounts of food don’t seem like much, check out their contents. The amounts of salt, carbs, and sugar in some of these comfort foods in unreasonably high.
If you are unable to prevent yourself from snacking, you can try substituting overly salty and fatty snacks for more healthy varieties or banishing snacks from your home altogether.
Even though you must be sure you do not overeat, it is unhealthy to eat too little as well. Especially if you plan to do some exercise, which is strongly recommended. Ideally, you should consult a doctor or a nutritionist. Any diet which asks you to drastically reduce the amount of food or stop your food intake altogether is a terrible idea and you should be wary of it.
What you should strive for is eating several smaller meals all through the day, with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables and as little processed food as possible.
Do Some Specialized Exercises
Nutrition is only a part of what you need to do to stay fit. Like it or not, without exercises, you are unlikely to be able to get or keep a healthy and fit body. Fortunately, there are so many different exercise plans, that you must be able to find the one you are able to keep up with.
Depending on the part of the body you want to tighten or maintain, there are different exercises you can do. In order to keep your curves even as you lose weight, make sure you do cardio exercises. Of course, do not forget to do resistance exercises as well for muscle tonus. Your belly will benefit the most from the simple, yet dreaded, 30-45 second plank.
With these little tips, you can be ready to experience the most important day of your life as the best version of yourself.
