Hearing loss generally occurs when there is a problem with one or more parts of the middle or inner ear. Fluid in the middle ear, ear infections, impacted ear wax, tumors, tinnitus, etc. are some common causes of hearing loss. Studies have shown that today approximately 2 million people are profoundly deaf, and 30-40 percent of people over 65 have some type of hearing loss. This is a great infographic! I always have trouble with my ears when i’m on a plane, or anywhere with a high altitude, always make sure to carry ear plugs for the journey, makes such a difference!
