The truth is that if we all lived in a perfect world then no person out there would be overweight and we’d all be enjoying fantastic health! In fact all of us would be going down to the local farmers market on a weekly basis to do our grocery shopping.

At the same time we would be consuming fresh eggs that were just laid by organic chickens. We would also be making sure that all of the beef that we bought was from cows that were grass fed and organic. And for fun we’d literally be going to down to the local forests with our friends and family to find fresh organic mushrooms. The list could go on forever, but I’m sure you get the picture.

But unfortunately the picture that I painted above just isn’t that realistic  for most people to live by. And honestly I doubt anyone would actually want to live in that manner.

Being that we’re all used to being able to just pop into our local grocery stores whenever we want to pickup whatever we like… I find it hard to believe that anyone would want to give up this sort of modern day convenience, no matter how healthy the alternative picture I painted actually was.

But while most of us wouldn’t be prepared to give up our everyday comforts, the truth is that we still want to lead healthy lives. But at the same time we want to ensure that our money is being spent on the right areas.

So to help you out, I’ve taken the time to put together a list of foods that I believe every single person out there should be buying and eating organically from now on. The good news is that you won’t have any trouble finding any of these foods down at your local convenience store!

So to begin with, I’d recommend that you start with the following organic foods…

1. Full-Fat Dairy Products

Truth be told, no matter where you go in the world you’ll find people that consume some form of dairy on a daily basis. Whether it be milk, cream, butter or yogurt you can be sure that someone, somewhere in the world is enjoying it!

Of course you’re best bet would be to get dairy that was produced by cows that were 100% grass fed, however if you’re not able to get your hands on this then I’d recommend that you get organic dairy products.

The best thing about organic dairy is that you’re guaranteed that it has met certain standards that are overseen by government laws and legislation.

The first part of the legislation states that all cows that produce organic dairy must be allowed to consume fresh grass for the entire grazing season. On top of that the farmer of these cows must make sure that they are getting at least 30% of their total calories from this fresh grass.

Grazing seasons usually last about 120 days so when you put your money behind organic dairy you can be satisfied knowing that it has actually come from a cow that has consumed fresh grass!

Another reason that you’re going to want to go organic when it comes to dairy is that the cows that produce the standard dairy that you see everywhere are given food that is just stuffed full of pesticides, which get’s passed onto the dairy that these cows make! This obviously isn’t great if you want to improve your health. I hope you can appreciate how easy it is to improve your health once you focus on eating organic foods.

2. Eggs

When it comes to eggs nothing out there is better than getting them from pastured chickens. If you’re not able to get your hands on these then trust me your second option should be to get the organic variety. These are the only two options that you should ever consider!

The standard eggs that you find everywhere should be avoided at all costs! The reason being is that the chickens that lay these sorts of eggs are given a feed that contains a lot of pesticides. These are then transferred to the yolks of the eggs that they lay.

This is exactly why I recommend that you get eggs that have come from a pastured chicken because these chickens are largely left to roam about in their natural environment where they spend the whole day eating things like bugs, scraps and grasses!

All those fresh nutrients get passed onto the eggs that these chickens lay… just imagine all the goodness you’ll be benefiting from when you eat them.

3. Leafy Greens

All the leafy green vegetables in the world have one major thing in common and that is that they all have extremely large surface areas. You’ll notice this in vegetables such as spinach and collards.

The issue with the large surface area that these vegetables have is the fact that pretty much the entire vegetable gets covered with the pesticides that are sprayed onto them by the farmer. And trust me no matter what you do, this is pretty much impossible to remove.

Yes, the story is completely different with a hard vegetable such as a cucumber because all you need to do to get rid of the pesticides is scrub that thing hard under the tap! But unfortunately if you apply even a quarter of the same force to something like lettuce then all you’ll end up with is a watery salad.

Another reason you’ll want to go organic with your leafy green vegetables is due to the fact that now you’re focused on becoming healthy, you’ll be consuming a large amount of vegetables. If they are not organic then you will literally be stuffing your body full of pesticides… which in the long scheme of things just isn’t great for your body!

4. Berries

While berries of all kinds are the most heavily sprayed with pesticides among all fruits and vegetables out there… they also contain the most antioxidants!

The surprising thing is that berries that aren’t sprayed with any sort of pesticides, and are left to look after themselves… contain a whole lot more chemical protectants (known as polyphenols) in comparison to the berries that have pesticides sprayed on them. And when consumed you will also be able to benefit from these chemical protectants.

Research studies have proven that organic blueberries have a much larger amount of antioxidants, phenolics, and natural sugars in comparison to ordinary blueberries that you will find everywhere.

Of course the same is true for pretty much every single berry out there! Trust me, this isn’t some sort of final list that you must absolutely follow! Instead you should take it as a starter point towards your journey to becoming more conscious of the organic foods that you eat and hopefully over the long term getting into the best shape and health of your life!

Over time you should look to analyze all the foods that you eat, and start to eat those you consume on a regular basis, organically. Don’t rush, just move forward one step at a time and believe me you’ll get amazing results in no time!
